Our company name borrows from the Laurentide Ice Sheet, the massive formation that shaped the geography of North America. We aspire to be as resolute and purposeful in shaping your financial environment
The name Laurentide came to our company for a couple of reasons. The co-founders of Laurentide have familial ties to Quebec, Canada and to the St. Lawrence River. The North Country has significant and beautiful geology shaped by the Laurentide Ice Sheet. As longtime residents of New England, we appreciate how the ice sheet has impacted southern New England. Rubble stone fences in one town, sandy soil in another, the craggy shoreline that extends from Maine to the south of Boston and of course Cape Cod which formed from deposits left by the retreating ice only 10,000 years ago.
We wanted something that would be representative of who we are and our mission to have a meaningful impact on individuals seeking financial services. A name that would imply significance and lasting results. Offering our institutional asset management expertise as fiduciaries and investors and our best practices in investment selection, research and cost awareness, Laurentide Advisory continues down the path we set off in, providing problem-solving solutions and professional relationships that most firms don’t offer. Our name, Laurentide Advisory, embodies meaningful impact more than anything else.
